Fishing Derby

The Kids Fishing Derby was held on May 3rd! It was a hot and sunny day but that didn't stop everyone from fishing! While no "tagged" fish were caught, (despite the club stocking 75 trout!) the kids and parents had a great day. First and second place prizes were awarded in several age groups. The parents seemed to be as busy as the kids, baiting hooks, untangling lines and showing kids the finer details of hooking the big one! The morning ended with hamburgers and hot dogs provided by the Club at no charge. As the saying goes, "A bad day of fishing is better than a day spent in front of technology!"
